SEGRA's Sustainability Commitment

Sustainability is about making our actions sustainable - choosing to use products, suppliers and procedures that have less of an impact on the planet.

The SEGRA Conference carbon footprint will be offset at the conclusion of each conference.

We are committed to a responsible use of resources

SEGRA and Management Solutions (Qld) is commited to:

  • a paper-less administration system and uses recycled supplies such as print ink cartridges and paper to minimise waste.
  • briefing staff members on individual and team responsibilities and actions and are informed on how to reduce their carbon footprint at home and travelling
  • utilising suppliers close to location of use
  • minising packaging and waste

Conference Materials

Please don't throw your lanyards, name sleeves or delegate bags away!
If you won't use these items again you are most welcome to return them to the conference organisers and we will use these for future conferences.

Delegates can offset their own carbon footprint through

Flights

To offset your flight to SEGRA, Virgin, QANTAS and Jetstar all offer AGO certified offset purchases against air travel or this can be done through your travel agent. Alternatively you can calculate your own offset through the AGO accredited organisation Auscarbon International.

Car Travel

AGO accredited offset providers that can calculate and offset car travel include Greenfleet.
